The Ministry of Defence (MOD) is UK industry's single biggest customer. Every year the Department spends more than £18 billion on products and services, many of which include non defence-specific requirements that are needed to maintain the readiness, effectiveness and efficiency of the armed forces.
New changes to defence contract advertising thresholds will help even more areas of industry to supply to the MOD, reaffirming the MOD's position as a forward-thinking government department keen to engage with the UK's supplier community and industrial base.
