Supply2.gov.uk provides access to tender opportunities from local and central government – typically lower-value opportunities (below £100,000), but also including high-value (OJEU), Small Business Research Initiative (SBRI) opportunities and access to London 2012 Olympic subcontracting opportunities.

Part of the Government’s strategy for supporting economic growth, Supply2.gov.uk is particularly useful among smaller companies, as it helps to reduce some of the barriers faced by small to medium-sized enterprises seeking access to public sector contract opportunities.

By providing businesses with access to lower-value contract opportunities, Supply2.gov.uk aims to open up the lower-value public sector opportunities market – worth billions of pounds – to as wide a range of businesses as possible.

Lower-value tender opportunities have previously been difficult and time-consuming for small businesses to source. Supply2.gov.uk is the only official UK lower-value procurement portal, recognised by both businesses and government as a useful and effective tool and providing a route to help small businesses thrive and grow.

Since its launch in June 2006, Supply2.gov.uk has advertised in excess of 79,000 tender opportunities, helping the portal to become the first port of call for lower-value government tender opportunities in Scotland, England, Northern Ireland and Wales. The service provides a platform to unite the public and private sectors, making it easier for government and business to work together.

The registration process consists of three easy stages:

Daily Email Alert Service

Create your Email Alert Profile by specifying keywords relevant to your business to ensure that you receive notification of tender opportunities vital to the growth of your business. The Email Alert Profile can be adapted online at anytime to suit the changing requirements of your business.

The Email Alert Profile also allows you to enter specific keywords and phrases, while omitting terms that are not applicable and allowing you to receive a concise list of government tender opportunities relevant to your business directly into your inbox every morning.

Supplier Information Database

Enter details of your business into the Supplier Information Database to allow your company to be searchable by government buyers. Questions covered in the profile include previous/current business activities, financial information and references.

Only government buyers have access to this information, which is searchable by company name, geographical area, product and the services required, allowing you to promote your company to the government for FREE.

Online Search

The Online Search allows you to view current and archived tender opportunities. Use the Advanced Search options to return results from specific locations, government authorities and contract award information, as well as products and services.

Supplier guidances are available to provide you with valuable assistance when selling to the Government. There is also a dedicated customer service department, available to assist you with any issue that may arise when using the service.

In addition, the 'Information' section will keep you up to date on current affairs within the public sector marketplace, allowing you a better understanding of your government customers.

Service Upgrade

Registering on Supply2.gov.uk allows you to access tender opportunities from an area chosen during registration for FREE. Options to upgrade the service to access more opportunities from a wider geographic area are available at any time. Access to tender opportunities in your home country (eg. Scotland , England, Northern Ireland or Wales) starts from only £99 per annum.
